What are Mobile Health Units?
Mobile Health Units (MHUs) are specially equipped vehicles designed to deliver essential public health services to communities. The MHUs will play a crucial role in reducing health disparities by bringing public health services to areas without these services and improving overall public health outcomes. These units serve as mobile clinics, offering a range of essential public health services such as vaccinations, family planning, STD testing and treatment, and outbreak response.
DPH Goals
- Increase access to health care services in remote areas without these services.
- Improve public health outcomes by offering preventive care and education.
- Foster the growth of new partnerships in our communities.
