Hurricane Helene: Public Health Department Closures

Latest updates: Hurricane Helene

Our public health departments' hours of operation may be affected by power and staffing outages. This means that some closures may not appear on the state government office delays and closings map. The health and safety of our employees and our clients remains our highest priority. We are working to get services restored as safely and quickly as possible.

How We Can Help

Requests

Send all media requests to media@dph.sc.gov and include your story idea, contact information and deadline. This timestamps your request and allows us to:

  1. immediately assign a public information officer (PIO) who will champion your request inside the agency to see that it gets to the right people and that you get everything you need,
  2. give you a constant point of contact for your story, and
  3. track your request internally so that we can accurately measure and report on our media coverage.

News Releases

You can search online news releases issued by DPH and DHEC. If you have trouble locating something, please let us know.
