The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993, Public Law 103-31, provides that WIC clinics serve as voter registration assistance sites throughout South Carolina. Voter registration forms are available at the WIC clinics. Participants may also register to vote at https://scvotes.gov/voters/register-to-vote.
The South Carolina WIC program is intended for families in need of nutritional education and support. WIC foods and formula are to be used for the WIC participant only and cannot be sold or given away. WIC foods not used by the participant should be returned to the local WIC site.
