2015-2018 Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity Domestic Ebola Supplement: Infection Control Assessment and Response Program
- The Infection Control Assessment and Response (ICAR) Program is a supplement to the Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) grants. This grant provides short-term funding to public health departments to strengthen the public health infrastructure and better prepare healthcare facilities to address highly pathogenic or novel infectious diseases.

- Activity A of the ICAR Program- Infection Control Assessments: includes activities that are designed to assess and enhance state-level healthcare-associated infection prevention activities.

Data Validation
The HAI Section audits and surveys the quality of data submitted to the National Healthcare Safety Network by acute care facilities. The HAI Section validates the facility data using a method developed by HAI Section staff, based on CDC's methodology.
