• The (S.C.) Burden of Arthritis 2011 (pdf) - This report provides information about the prevalence of doctor-diagnosed arthritis in South Carolina. Arthritis is the state's leading cause of disability. We use DPH's Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) to collect state-specific information about adults age 18 years of age and older, including data on arthritis prevalence, quality of life, activity limitation, and risk factors.
