Our public health departments' hours of operation may be affected by power and staffing outages. This means that some closures may not appear on the state government office delays and closings map. The health and safety of our employees and our clients remains our highest priority. We are working to get services restored as safely and quickly as possible.

8/23/2024Unintentional CO PoisoningNew DataThe list of ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes used to generate unintentional carbon monoxide deaths for 2018-2022 (i.e. T58) were further refined to exclude codes for deaths due to purposeful intent: X60-Y09, Y35, and Y36. This update aligns with current literature on this topic. As a result, the total number of deaths for 2018-2022 on the Unintentional CO Poisoning Mortality in South Carolina graph increased by 3. All prior years follow this guideline and are accurate as reported.
