Update to WIC-Approved Milk

Beginning Dec. 8, 2025, WIC will only pay for store brand milk or the lowest-cost milk. This change applies only to milk, not infant formula. Store brand milk has the same nutrition and quality as name brands, just at a lower price, which helps WIC provide more benefits to families. Learn more.

Text4baby provides you with health messages and can even help remind you about WIC appointments. The service sends you dozens of text messages about a variety of topics crucial to your health and that of your baby. For instance, you'll get messages on breastfeeding, WIC and nutrition. You can also set up WIC-specific appointment reminders.

To sign up, simply text the word BABY (or BEBE for Spanish) to 511411 from your mobile phone. You'll begin receiving three FREE text messages per week timed to your due date or your baby's date of birth.
