What is the Best Chance Network?

The Best Chance Network (BCN) is South Carolina's Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. It is important to detect cancer early so treatment can begin soon after diagnosis. Early detection and treatment give women who have cancer the best opportunity to achieve a healthy outcome.

BCN provides no-cost, breast and cervical cancer screenings to South Carolina women who qualify. These services are provided by the program:

  • Clinical breast exams,
  • Mammograms,
  • Pap smears, and
  • Pelvic exams.

In addition, these services may also be provided (as needed):

  • Pap test / Human papillomavirus (HPV) test.
  • Diagnostic testing for women with abnormal screening results (e.g., ultrasound, MRIs).
  • Follow-up guidance and support services.
  • Community education on breast and cervical cancer.
