Hurricane Helene: Public Health Department Closures

Latest updates: Hurricane Helene

Our public health departments' hours of operation may be affected by power and staffing outages. This means that some closures may not appear on the state government office delays and closings map. The health and safety of our employees and our clients remains our highest priority. We are working to get services restored as safely and quickly as possible.

Committee Workgroups

Viral hepatitis poses a substantial public health burden on South Carolina. To address this issue the South Carolina Viral Hepatitis Committee (VHC) has developed The South Carolina Viral Hepatitis Elimination Strategic Plan 2021-2025, which consists of four goals, 12 objectives and 49 strategies across five pillars (advocacy, policy, data, prevention and screening, and treatment).

Development of this plan is a collaborative effort between many people representing a diverse group of organizations around the state. By implementing these objectives and strategies, we hope to achieve our four goals by 2025.
